We’ve had the privilege of shooting some suuuhweeeet weddings over time! We’ve also made some of the best friends from shooting weddings. One of the most interesting things we come across is when we first contact our couples and they start telling us stories of other filmmakers they have met with and some of the crazy stuff they tell them in order to try to get the job! So today’s post is a fun video kinda poking fun at wedding filmmakers:) We also had to post an example of one of our videos so you know we’re not one of those crazy companies who actually do the weird transitions:) hahaha! Enjoy!

We’re so pumped to be headed out of the country together for the first time!

Yes, we have ANOTHER awesome video from WPPI! Zach & Jody of Gray Photography had a photo shoot in the desert for the photographers who were attending their class the next day! We all headed out to the desert at 5:00 AM in order to catch the morning golden hour We were somewhat surprised by how cold the desert was… but it was WELL worth it!

This past week we had Cory & Jackie of Ada Photography in town to learn some of the ins and outs of video. They’re going on a mission trip to Vanuatu, & they want to be able to use some simple techniques so they can not only use their amazing skills to take great photos, but they also want to make a siiiick video of their experience.

Along with photos and the very emotional video I’m sure they’ll put together, they are going to use Animoto to do a Fusion piece showing off both their images and video clips.

Along with some shooting and editing tips and techniques, Cory & Jackie quickly learned how time consuming video can be compared to the photo world.

Below you can check out a 1 minute and 15 second video that took us all day to shoot and edit. I wanted to be sure that Cory & Jackie did all the shooting and editing themselves because most of us creative types learn way better by actually doing.

As you can see, for being great photographers, Cory & Jackie did an amazing job on this video. Another great thing about having them over was that we could put a few final touches on our Fusion workshops. Man we’re so excited! Be sure to keep an eye out for dates on locations!

While they were here, we also learned a thing or two about the photog world! All we can say is that Lightroom is freaking amazing for photography! Here are a few images we shot during the football festivities…
