Hey folks! We’re so excited for our friends, Zach & Jody. We have an awesome announcement we want to share with you all, so we got together with them & created this fun little video…

Food Network | Crumb de la Crumb

Recently, our good friends Jason & Lori of Crumb de la Crumb were contacted by Food Network saying that they had been chosen to be in the running with a lot of great cake designers for an upcoming show. They were told that they needed to submit a video telling more about themselves & why they would love to be on the show! The cool thing is, they didn’t even apply for the show, Food Network contacted them (which goes to show that hard work does pay off!) Well, we were so excited when Jason & Lori asked us to shoot this video for them! So last week we shot the video & it was sent in the next day! Then yesterday we received a phone call from Jason saying that they had been chosen to be a part of the Happy Birthday Miss America Cake Contest!

We couldn’t have been more excited to hear this awesome news for these two! Allison of Food Network told Jason & Lori that she was so excited that they had been picked, & that their video was so well done!! She said it was sweet and it showed Jason & Lori’s personality so well; and she could see that Jason and Lori had a great chemistry together. Allison went on to say that she couldn’t wait to meet them and that she would be rooting for them and knows they will do great!!

Awesome job guys! We are so excited for you two, & know that we & the rest of Nashville will be cheering you on!

A Sweet Serenade!

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege to shoot a Miami-themed wedding at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church along with the super fun & spunky photographer, Lori Quarles of Lori Ann Photography! The reception (which was hott hott hott!) followed at the beautiful Cannery Ballroom in downtown Nashville, TN. Walking into the ballroom felt like you were walking right into a Miami night club! This night’s creation was due to the hard work of Krystal Bonner of Phoenix Forrester Events and Rhonda of Rhonda Patton Designs! They freakin’ blew our minds!
We always enjoy shooting the wedding of a sorority girl and the serenade from her sorority ladies at the reception; and in case you’ve never witnessed one, we wanted to give you a sneak peek of this sweet serenade.
Be prepared for pure awesomeness by these ladies!

CJ’s Open House

One of the coolest things about our jobs is all of the fun people we get to meet and work with! We’d have to say that two of the nicest and most fun vendors we’ve met hands down has been CJ & Amy!

These ladies are not only fun, but are amazing at what they do! If for some reason you haven’t had a chance to meet this ladies you’re in luck! Saturday February 27th Williamson County Weddings & Events will be hosting their open house at CJ’s Off the Square and showcasing their complete 2010 invitation collection, delicious cake samples from The Bake Shoppe and complimentary planning tips and advice from principal planners CJ Dickson & Amy Parman!

Game Night with the Humphries

For the past two weeks we’ve been “on holiday” as they say, and Emily Humphries of Simply Yours Weddings and her husband Andrew invited us to their Couple’s game night before we start back into work this week. They invited us to their gorgeous new home to play games like: “The Office DVD game” (Andrew is a “The Office” junkie), and “Catch Phrase” (which I, Heather, have never played or never even knew I was good at.) This couple is so much fun to be around, and SO much fun to have a game night with.

First, we started with “The Office DVD game”…

Winner = Emily
Then, we played “Catch Phrase” (starting with girls vs. boys, then later changed to couple vs. couple.)

and, at some point, we all won a game!

Thank you, Andrew & Emily, we had a blast!
