Apparently we just had a slew of awesome grooms last year! We’ve already posted about a groom that sang his bride down the aisle, & now we’re posting about a groom who rapped for his bride during their ceremony.

We’ve been great friends with Darren (the groom) for many years now, & he was actually in our wedding! So we were more than excited when he called us months ago to say, “Well guys, I’m getting married… what dates do you have available?”.

We’re sure you’ve never seen a groom rap at his own wedding & this is totally Darren’s personality. So we’re super excited to show you this clip from their wedding!

Last week we posted our short teaser of Baby Reuben’s Birth Day Story! We shared our experiences & how much we love Josh, Amber, Josie, & little Reuben; & now we want to share the full length Birth Day Story with you!

We’re very close to Josh + Amber, which obviously made for a better “working” relationship while filming this special day. Amber said that she + Josh were so comfortable with us that just our presence helped keep her mind off of contractions.

We’ve been playing a little bit of catch up since returning from our vacation; & we wanted to wait to post Reuben’s Birth Day Story because we wanted Josh + Amber to be the first people to see it. So we went to their house, shared breakfast, then sat down to watch this great short film with them. We even set up our cameras to capture their first reaction. Below are a few shots we took from this moment, but we’ll be sharing more tomorrow! So make sure you come back!

Welcome to the world, Reuben Monroe Ulmer!

A few months ago we had the privilege to film Joy + Dan’s wedding in Windsor, Ontario; & that is where we tasted some of the best chili of our lives!! Luckily they were kind enough to share this recipe with us & now we want to share it with you!!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb of ground beef (We like lean beef )
2-3 stalks of celery
1 large onion
3 cans of Tomato soup
2 cans of Spicy Chili beans
2 cans of Maple Syrup beans
1 can diced Spicy tomatoes
Add brown sugar to taste
Chili Powder

Directions:
Brown the ground beef with onions, celery and add chili powder seasoning to taste… When this is cooked, drain off the fat (there won’t be much fat if you use good lean beef.) Then add all of the ingredients, stir and cook on med-high at first 10 min and then reduce to med and be sure to keep stirring or it will stick to bottom of pan and get burnt. Reduce again to med-low. Cook for about 20 more minutes & now you’ll have lunch for a few days!

A few months ago we posted a short clip of one of our awesome grooms, Derek, warming up before the wedding by singing a little bit of MJ. What we want to share with you today is what he was warming up for… he sang his bride, Alysha, & her mother down the aisle!

Not only was he about to watch his bride walk down the aisle, he had to perform in front of a crowd of friends & family! Talk about crazy nerves… but he pulled it off so well! This was one of our favorite wedding moments from 2011 & we want to share this beautiful moment with you all!
