When most brides hear “Trash the Dress” they think, “You want me to do what?” Most brides cringe at the idea of “Trash the Dress.” However, “Trash the Dress” is an idea that’s catching on very quickly. So much that not doing “Trash the Dress” will become a thing of the past.
Before you get all worked up, you should know that, for us, there are two types of “Trash the Dress” sessions:
Keep it Clean
Most of the time, brides who do “Trash the Dress” are not really “trashing” their dress. It usually just involves going places or doing things you normally wouldn’t see a bride doing like: buying coffee, running through a field, or even riding a horse. You could do all of these things and still keep your dress white!
Why would you even consider a “Trash the Dress” session?
Ask yourself: other than your wedding day, when will you ever wear the dress again? After all, you pay so much money for it and you might as well get as much out of it as you can.

Get it Dirty!
Sometimes, brides really do want to trash their dress. To do this, they can go anywhere or do anything. They might drag their dress through sand, walk into the ocean, jump into a pool, or even roll in the mud. Not all of these will ruin your dress; and after it’s all over, you can always have your dress cleaned. Trust us, you, your family, & your kids will cherish this memory forever!

As videographers, we love “Trash the Dress” sessions. It seems that more and more brides are loving this idea and are wanting to try it. Let’s face it, ladies, you will never wear your dress again. It will probably hang in your closet for years collecting dust. You need to at least consider this amazing opportunity to have fun and create a lasting memory!
