Ed & Tiffany’s ceremony was at the gorgeous Brentwood United Methodist Church in Brentwood, TN. This church is enormous and the chapel is enveloped with gorgeous stained glass windows that made their late afternoon wedding simply gorgeous. Their reception followed at the Old Natchez Country Club in Brentwood, TN. This place had an amazing golf course view from the banquet center; and, of course, Ed & Tiffany had to take some fun photos on it! We, again, had the awesome opportunity to work with the, always great, Michael and Michelle of Mahalo Photography. These two are so much fun and below you can check out a few of their photos from the wedding:

Jesse & Meghann were married last Saturday at Pleasant Hill Mansion at the Governor’s Club in Brentwood, TN. Their ceremony was held under a white tent lit with candles & gorgeous lighting from NEL. Immediately following, the guests moved indoors for the cocktail hour & dinner; then, back to the tent for the remainder of the beautiful reception.
Meghann did not toss her bouquet. Instead, she gave her bouquet to her grandparents [who have been married for many years] because they have inspired her & Jesse so much. We enjoyed this wedding & having the opportunity to work with CJ & Amy of Williamson County Weddings. Everything was planned & looked perfect!

Gary & Shatala were such a FUN couple! They were married Friday night at the beautiful Gaylord Springs in Nashville, TN [Laura & Nicole were the best hosts ever.] Gary wore a sleek, black tux; & Shatala wore a stunning off the shoulder, cream-colored gown accessorized by a bird cage veil [looooove bird cage veils.] Their reception followed immediately after in an attached room; & this reception was crazy fun Shatala & her father danced to a Michael Jackson mix while wearing the sparkly glove, sparkly socks, and of course the fedora [we love MJ.]
Gary & Shatala were a beautiful couple & we were so happy to be a part of their day.

Michael & Michelle were married at the [always] gorgeous Cheekwood. Their ceremony was outside; and it was probably one of the coldest days of October [ although, Michelle still rocked her dress.] The cocktail hour followed immediately after inside a heated building, then the reception in a heated tent. This reception had an awesome band who had everyone dancing on the dance floor. You could really tell that everyone was having a great time. Michael & Michelle were so blessed to have amazing families who truly loved them both and would do anything for them. Congrats, you two! We wish you the best!

So, today we slept in….. really late but when we woke up we had a few emails and tweets about this interracial couple deal. We, being an interracial couple, get our buttons “pushed” when we hear or read about these things. There is an interracial couple in Louisiana who, basically, had to fight just to get their marriage license, simply because they were interracial. The man who was supposed to marry them said that it would be useless because so many of these types of couples end up in divorce. (We don’t know the whole story, there might have been other aspects.) Although, those are definitely non-encouraging words to start off your marriage with.
In the beginning of our relationship, we faced much criticism from people because we were interracial. We understand how difficult it is for some couples to just be together when their is so much hate. However, we decided to stick it out because we loved each other and knew that God would lead our way -and He has. Despite all of our crazy imperfections, color is not one of them.
This past weekend, we even had the opportunity to shoot an interracial couple’s wedding. We’ve never been to an interracial couple’s wedding, besides our own. Being at this wedding thrilled our hearts; and it was so awesome to see families at the reception (of different colors and ages) partying and dancing like there were no barriers (as it should be.) Michael and Michelle, you two are truly blessed to have such amazing and loving families! Congratulations!
(We were going to wait until Tuesday to post this video, but today was just too appropriate.)
