Even though the roaring cicadas were flying around, Matt & Spenser stuck it out & were married in the evening in the beautiful garden at Belle Meade Plantation. Spenser was all smiles as her father walked her down the long floral lined walkway to her groom, Matthew.

We’ve had the honor of filming two other weddings in Spenser’s family & they all have been so special in their own ways! This wedding was actually held on Spenser’s grandpa & mother’s birthday, & even though you can’t see it in the Teaser, at the reception she & Matt brought out a birthday cake & sang “Happy Birthday” to them… & they were totally surprised!

The events began with a night at William’s parent’s home. Many, many close friends & family attended the rehearsal & kept spirits high all night. Only a few toasts were planned, but it seemed like half of the guests unexpectedly stepped up to the mic. Many stories, much love, & quite a bit of humor & songs were dedicated to the soon to be married couple.

Their ceremony was held at the beautiful West End United Methodist Church & their reception at Union Station. Love carried on throughout the weekend, making William & Mary Liza’s wedding so delightful, at times humorous, & altogether unforgettable.

The low humming of cicadas was dying down while the little flower girl dressed in white walked down the aisle. Jean & her glassy-eyed father, Bill, waited in the back for their turn to walk the same path. Guests smiled & snickered as the little girl in white began dropping hand fulls of flowers. She smiled back with her round little cheeks, only to realize how far she had gotten down the aisle without dropping hardly enough petals. So as she stopped, her tiny fingers grasped the biggest hand fulls of petals that they could & then released her heaps of petals all at the end of Jean’s path to Lou.

We had so much fun shooting Jean & Lou’s wedding. Both families were so kind & welcoming, & so much fun to be with. Thank you guys & congratulations!

He squinted in the gleam of the tall window’s sun while peering into the eyes of his glowing bride, Rachael. Many long days of planning & months of having wedding ribbons, bows, & candles overtake their home was all worth this moment. Her warm smile welcomed each guest she passed while her father accompanied her down the aisle. Best friends & family members gleamed with delight as each step brought Rachael & Matt closer to forever.
